Can I file my W2's, L3's, and/or 1099's through LaWage?
Yes, you can file all of the above wage statements through LaWage.

Am I required to file my W2's, L3's, and/or 1099's online?
Effective January 1, 2016 employers with 50 or more employees are required to submit the W2’s electronically.
All 1099’s are required to be submitted electronically.

When should I submit a W2-C?
A W2-C should be submitted when an error has occurred on the original W2.

Can I file W2's, L3's and/or 1099's on behalf of multiple entities through LaWage?
Yes, you will need to create an account as a Payroll Service Provider.

What are the system requirements to use LaWage?
LaWage users are recommended to use Internet Explorer 5.1 (or higher) or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2 (or higher) as your browser to access the TAP site. Using a different browser to access this website may reduce site functionality. You should also disable any local settings, utilities or browser toolbars that auto-fill or auto-complete fields in your browser.

How do I register for a LaWage account?
From the LDR homepage, click Businesses at the top. Then, click on Withholding W-2/L-3 Filing Program (LaWage). Then, click Create user account.

Are my usernames and passwords for LaTAP and LaWage the same?
No, you will need to create a username and password for each program.

How to submit 1099's?
1099's must be uploaded through LaWage.

Do I have to submit 1099's to the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR) even though I have already submitted them to the IRS?
Louisiana does not participate in the 1099 combined federal and state filing program. You would have to file the 1099's separately with LDR through LaWage.

Why did my LaWage upload file fail?
Some common reasons an upload file may fail are:
- The file contains punctuation or special characters
- The amount of characters are incorrect

What if the employee does not have a SSN but has a TIN assigned by the IRS?
Enter all zeros if a valid SSN is not available.

Can 1099's be entered manually?
No, 1099's cannot be entered manually.
